Big Boys Guide to Pride  Pt. 1

Summer is upon us and it marks the pride season. This is a special time where we travel to a new city, network with the family , dance the night away and hope to meet a love interest in the process.

But for many KINGZ , this season has historically been met with untold frustration. Finding events that are Big Boy friendly, the decision of whether to take your shirt off at the beach, new travel issues regarding size and the negativity that can come from the mainstream festival goers. These challenges can make pride an event to skip but it doesn't have to be that way. You can have a great time when you take time to craft a weekend that uses these tips.

Go Where the Chasers Are

When it comes to pride, there are a few cities that provide a Big Boy friendly environment. Unfortunately, the majority of these events are located in the southern United States. Although you may not want to travel long distances, the amount of quality connections made will definitely make up for any time spent on the road.

Labor day weekend in Atlanta has the largest gathering of Urban Big Men in the country. Each year men from across the globe converge in the capital of the south. You will find a weekend packed with socials, games, play parties and entertainment geared to Big Men. KingVasion serves as ground central for Big Men posting events from all the major clubs.

Team Up with the Fam

Enjoying events in groups can be some of the most fun you will ever have. Sharing your pride experience with fellow Big Men can open a new world of experiences. Reach out to men in your destination city whether you are attracted to them or not and invite them to an event. Outings of this nature serve as confidence boosters for those that don't normally venture out.

Go BIG !

The best thing you can do for yourself and the community is to attend events that are designed for Big Men. Promoters who dedicate themselves to this way of life need support to continue putting the events on.  There is no reason to complain about a lack of events then not show up to a Big Boys Meet and Greet. You have no excuse. By supporting the events for Big Men, you are voting with your presence and dollar to have more. It's that simple. Well promoted events in our community tend to be a chaser magnets.

Bunk Up Bear Style

Saving money is the name of the game during this economic challenge. Use the good ole buddy system to make the weekend a smashing success. By splitting hotels, car rentals and booking flights on discount sites, you can decrease the amount spent by up to 60%.  Another area where you can save money is on alcohol. Always visit the local package good store for the local specials. Then have a drink before you arrive which will reduce the amount spent inside. Club owners increase the amount of drinks during pride weekend.

These are just a few tips that will enable you to have a pride that will allow you to enjoy yourself. Stay tuned to part two of this article for more tips designed to help Big Men have an amazing celebration.
